[Snack-Size Review] A Haunting On The Hill, by Elizabeth Hand

Quick Bite: Just didn’t do it for me.

What It’s About: A group of young actors & a playwright rent the infamous Hill House to perfect and rehearse a new play. Haunted shenanigans ensue.

A Word From The Nerd: I tapped out of this one at around the 30% mark. The characters were insufferable, the scares were scant, and worst of all, it was just boring. I kept rereading the same page because it didn’t interest me enough to realize I had already read it. Life’s too short. But the House, of course, is forever fascinating.

The Nerd’s Rating: Two Happy Neurons (and some duct tape for a certain character who sings nonstop.)
